  • Description
    The designed monument is a raised podium topped with a lion and the figure of Neptune standing on a rock. A decorative vase stands on either side of the podium and podium insets are directly below each vase. The vas eon the left side is decorated with flowers and the inset below is a bust encircled by a luarel wreath. The vase on the right side features a bust and the inset below is intended for inscription. The figure of Neptune wears a plumed helmet and holds a trident in one hand and a dagger in the other. Standing behind him at his feet, a lion rests his paw on a shiled of St. George. The podium inset depicts the seated figure of Britannia with a lion and the shield of St. George at her feet. Two figures stand behind Britannia and she reaches her hand out towards a trident held by the figure of Neptune standing on the waves. An angel figure stands behind Neptune and a mermaid lies at his feet.
