  • Description
A precise finished design, drawn by Wren and based on his and Woodroofe’s initial design, WRE/2/2/3. Datable 1675 (pre-construction). Drawn scale, just under 6 ft to 1 inch. On this neater, final study, shaded with wash rather then pen shading, the tunnel arch has been centred beneath the east aisle of the transept. Wren has not drawn the section of the window and vault of the Dean’s Vestry, which he faintly outline in pencil on the earlier drawing. The position of this window was revised at the next stage; see WRE/2/3/1.
