- Physical descriptionThe drawing is executed in watercolour, pencil and ink on paper.
- DescriptionThe drawing depicts Christ's entombment after the Crucifixion. Two male figures and a female are holding Christ's body while on the far right another male figure holds some sort of container. The figures are possibly Joseph of Arimathea and Nicodemus. Above this group, two angels hold the nails from the cross and the Crown of Thorns. On the far left of the scene, are three crosses on a hillside. At the bottom of the picture is a motto: "By thine agony and bloody sweat" and below that an inscription recording the the window was "Presented by the Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths Anno Domini MDCCCLXV". There is a motto over the dome reading "Fides Caritas Spes Justit Virtutum Regina". Whole scene is surrounded by a classical arch and dome. Above the dome are two banners with the date 1868 inside them.
