Design for memorials to great soldiers of World War II including a commemorative plaque to these ten memorials. The ten individual soldiers commemorated are Field Marshals Earl Alexander of Tunis (1891-1969), Viscount Slim (1891-1970), Viscount Montgomery of Alamein (1887-1976), Viscount Gort (1886-1946), Sir Claude Auchinleck (1884-1981), Viscount Alanbrooke (1883-1963), Earl Wavell (1883-1950), Sir John Dill (1881-1944), Lord Wilson (1881-1964) and Lord Ironside (1880-1959)

Access is strictly by appointment only with the architectural archivist. Material dating from 1990 to the present day is not currently available for public consultation. Some records are subject to a closure period of 75 years under the Data Protection Act.
