O.S.Died May 5.1811. / He designed and constructed the / Magnificent Bridge over the Thames / at Blackfriars. / From the Year 1762, he was the / sole Engineer / to the New River Aqueduct / London. / And for the same Period / had the superintendence of / this Cathedral / as Architect and / Paymaster of the Works. / His remains now repose / under the Protection of this Edifice / which was so long the Object / of his Care.
