Cope made of St Nicholas damask with white silk damask; gold work and decorative surface stitchery with couching, long and short stitch. Floss silk and metal threads in gold and silver. Matching orphrey, morse and round hood of red damask, the latter decorated with crossed swords in wreath of leaves, fringed with green, red and gold silk.History and date: originally made for the Dean and Chapter, and subsequently handed over to the Minor Canons. Circa 1950.
