Mechanical negative of diagram of West Portico

Mechanical negative of a diagram showing the structure of the west portico from south and east views. Also shows the structure of the architrave and pediment, including tie rods and arches supporting the frieze. These supporting arches are also illustrated in another diagram dating from around 1896-97, possibly under the surveyorship of Penrose and carried out by an unknown draftsman.

Access is strictly by appointment only with the architectural archivist. Material dating from 1990 to the present day is not currently available for public consultation. Some records are subject to a closure period of 75 years under the Data Protection Act.
