Drawn by Dickinson. Datable c.1700-01. Implied scale, about 5.7 ft to 1 inch (10 ft = 45 mm).\par \par The section shows the lower belfry floor as laid in the last quarter of 1700, before the revision in WRE/6/1/9, which raised the belfry chamber higher and led to a new floor being added about 9 ft above the lower one; see also WRE/6/2/2 and 3. Several inaccuracies in the section of the triforium gallery on the left side of the drawing have gone uncorrected but were rectified in WRE/6/1/9: the vault of the chamber is too low and shown semicircular rather than elliptical, the arched window in the west front (drawn in stippled outline) is too narrow and too low, and the segmental-headed window in the wall above the arch is also too low.\cf0\b\f1\par }
