Datable 1685-86. Drawn scale, just under 3 ft to 1 inch (10 ft = 87.5 mm).\par \par Repeating his observation on the companion sheet, Hawksmoor noted, bottom right:\par \par \lquote\i A The bottom of the window which is in ye great Tribune of ye Steeple -\i0\rquote\par \par The part-plan of the aisle door recess omits the internal reveals. The centre-line of the west door and aisle door are 38.25 ft apart, 9 inches less than the existing built dimension. The same shortfall is present in the smaller-scale pencil elevation at All Souls (Geraghty 2007, no.86). It would have produced a central intercolumniation equal to the others. The banner-like frame around the scale bar is characteristic of Hawksmoor\rquote s drawings in c.1685-88 (see Geraghty 2007, nos.151 and 412).\cf0\b\f1\par }
