A neatly ruled elevation which develops the design in WRE/6/1/4. Drawn by Dickinson (stage 2). Datable, c.1700-01. Implied scale, about 5.7 ft to 1 inch. Dickinson’s hand is apparent in the pronounced central division between the leaves of the Corinthian capitals and the long tails on their abacus flowers; compare WRE/5/3/6. His study enlarges the lower drum of the peristyle in WRE/6/1/4 and adds a plinth beneath the bases of the columns (omitted from WRE/6/1/7 and 8).
