This sub-series contains plans and surveys relating to the pre-fire cathedral. These include plans showing the dimensions and layout of the pre-fire cathedral (some superimposed on the present cathedral), section and plan drawings of excavations and drawings of the pre- fire Cloisters and Chapter House.

Access is strictly by appointment only with the architectural archivist. Material dating from 1990 to the present day is not currently available for public consultation. Some records are subject to a closure period of 75 years under the Data Protection Act.
