    The first drawing portrays allegorical figures standing on a podium above water surrounded by merpeople below and angels above. At the centre of the drawing stands the figure of Britannia, holding a shield and wearing a plumed helmet, pointing with an outsrteched arms towards the distance. To the left of Britannia, stands a male figure in classical dress, gesturing with one hand towards two soldier figures kneeling at his feet with their hands clasped. Behind these two kneeling soldiers are three female figures. The female figure farthest to the left stands at an angle with her back towards the viewer and holds a crucifix in her right hand and points upward with her left. The central of the three female figures strectches both of her arms upwards, a shield resting againt her leg. The seated figure on her right side holds a (?). On the far right of the drawing, the figure of Neptune stands on a shell above the water, holding a trident that rest upon a podium decorated with the shield of St. George and a seated lion on either side. Four merpeople swim around the base of the podium in the water below and one blows a conch horn. In the top right corner,two cherubs fly above Neptune’s head. The second drawing shows a similar scene, with the figure of Neptune and the same classicaly dressed male figure reappearing. In the center of the drawing, the male figure stands on a podium above water along with numerous female figures. He stands at the coner of the podium and gestures towards a kneeling female figure wearing a crown. This figure gestures behind hear towards a group of numerous other female figures, all of whom raise onearm towards the sky. Behind these figures are palm trees. To the far left, the figure of Neptune rides a chariot pulled by three horses through the water with a mermaid swimming alongside. Neptune holds a trident and his chariot is decorated with the shiled of St. George and a lion. As in the first drawing, two chrubs fly above the scene.
