These are:\par \par WRE/7/4/7: a study by Wren for the spire of St Bride Fleet in c.1682; it came to the St Paul\rquote s Collection from the Bute Collection sale in 1951, having been mistaken for a plan-study for the vestibule of the Great Model;\par \par WRE/7/4/8: a preliminary elevation by Hawksmoor for the north front of St George\rquote s Bloomsbury in 1716; and \par \par WRE/7/4/9: a plan of large grid structure for a floor which was suggested by the cataloguer of the Bute Collection sale in 1951 as a diagram for the bearers of the nave pavement but cannot be for St Paul's. \par \par Six drawings in this group are by Hawksmoor; WRE/7/4/2-6. Datable from the late 1680s onwards, they indicate that much of the collection passed through his hands after the building was finished.\par \par A second drawing in the group attributable to Wren is a study for an attic or pedestal, WRE/7/4/1. Although previously linked to the main internal attic, the dimensions and detail of the drawing cannot be matched with any feature of the completed building. \cf0\b\f1\par }
