The drawing is executed in pen on tracing paper.

The drawing is a study for Christ in the garden of Gethsemane. It depicts Christ, head bent, praying while an angel offers him a cup. In the foreground, Peter, James and John are asleep and on the left, Judas comes to betray Christ. The scene is surrounded by a classical arch.

Access is strictly by appointment only with the architectural archivist. Material dating from 1990 to the present day is not currently available for public consultation. Some records are subject to a closure period of 75 years under the Data Protection Act.
