This sub-group contains correspondence, estimates and accounts, notes and sketches relating to furniture and fittings in the cathedral, including 11 files relating to the new pulpit designed by Lord Mottistone, 9 files relating to the organ, 5 files relating to chairs and the reseating of the nave, and 22 files relating to other projects. The majority of these date from 1956-1969, and were created during the surveyorships of Lord Mottistone and Paul Paget. There is, however, one file relating to the organ, which contains correspondence dating back to 1896 (SPCAA/SP/4/41) and another that contains correspondence to 1979 (SPCAA/SP/4/47).

Access is strictly by appointment only with the architectural archivist. Material dating from 1990 to the present day is not currently available for public consultation. Some records are subject to a closure period of 75 years under the Data Protection Act.
