Silver medal commemorating William Juxon, Bishop of london, 1637. Bishop Juxon, was a close friend of Charles I and attended him at his execution. On one side of the medal are the Bishop’s arms and those of the Diocese of London which include the crossed swords of St Paul, on the other side a view of St Paul’s Cathedral is shown, the building is without it’s spire which had been destroyed by a lightning strike in 1561.
